JIRIS announced new types of iris recognition reader and access control with its proprietary technology. Those products will be unveiled at Biometric Consortium and Conference and Technology Expo in Tampa, Florida, USA from September 22, 2009. JIRIS also refreshed its home page for the customers.

Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (SMPA) is one of the most important public organizations
that maintains all of the public security in Seoul, the capital city of Korea. In SMPA, almost all systems are computerized and networked in order to conduct fast operations for making Seoul citizens safer and more peaceful.

Among all departments or centers within SMPA, in particular, the Computer & Network Center is a key protected zone. JIRIS True Eye Access was connected to the Center's main
entrance for this purpose. All accesses to the Center is severely controlled.
